Data Management Plan Online

DMPonline provides a structured library of public Data Management Plan (DMP) templates aligned with major UK, European and selected international funder requirements. It is maintained by the Digital Curation Centre (DCC).

Scope and Content:

• Freely downloadable funder-specific templates for: AHRC, BBSRC, Cancer Research UK (standard and population research committee), DCC, DFG (German and English), DZNE, EPSRC, ERC, and others.
• For each template: the funder name, date of last update, links to the funder's own DMP guidance, and sample plans (where provided by the funder or a trusted party).
• Sample data management plans available for several templates (e.g. AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC) to illustrate completed DMPs across different disciplines.
• Logged-in users can create a new plan directly on the platform and collaborate with co-investigators.
• The DCC maintains templates and updates them when funder requirements change; investigators should always consult funder guidelines directly for authoritative requirements.

Useful for investigator-initiated clinical studies to:

• Quickly locate the correct DMP template for a specific funder without searching individual funder websites.
• Draft a structured, funder-compliant DMP with reference to provided sample plans.
• Keep plans up to date as funder requirements evolve.
